Yes, Virginia, you will still be able to register for the 2026 Short Block Technologies World Finals. Come on, have you ever heard of IJSBA turning away money? Only the early registration has closed leaving on site registration, at on site prices, the method going forward. On site registration will begin Saturday, October 3, at 11:30 AM at the Quality Inn in Lake Havasu City. If you have already registered, you can start checking in at 10:30 AM.
IJSBA is considering reopening registration tomorrow with the on site rates to save you time and hopefully make things more efficient and organized and keep this open throughout the week. Please notice the important word "hopefully." There has never been a more chaotic World Finals with everyone waiting until the last minute to open a massive floodgate of demands for entries, vendor booths, and other needs. Trucks are stuck in Mexico, as are apparently our wristbands (thanks for nothing Hurricane Polo). IJSBA is considering keeping online registration open all week but it is with the caveat that you will need to register prior to 7PM to the previous day to the day which you want to check in and pick up your credentials. Will everyone ignore that important note and show up, same day, for credentials and throw a fit? Probably. Will this stop IJSBA from experimenting with this new registration method in absolutely the wrong year? Probably not. See you in a couple days whatever happens. Travel safe and please come with a good attitude. We are going to bring our "A Game" for a fun and happy event. We will see new faces, new venue owners, new watercraft, and start some great momentum to the future.
