2025 SBT World Finals Updated Weather Plan As Of October 9

Here we are possibly, just maybe, hopefully dodging bad storms.  In fact, it is outright sunny and hot.  We are keeping our fingers crossed that the weather reports are hanging on to old ideas.  Racing is going, the sunshine has replaced a couple of sprinkles, and we are going full steam ahead.  It looks like today will be able to complete today as planned.  Friday is a heavy schedule with awards, slalom, poker run, and a lot of racing. What we have below is a contingent plan if the rain comes back our way:

  1. The poker run is rain or shine and will open for registration tomorrow, October 10 as planned.  This is self guided poker run and will be available as a leisurely ride around the lake on either Friday or Saturday or both.
  2. Slalom will run Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings. On Saturday and Sunday slalom will run after the Endurance event.
  3. IJSBA has the entire area across from the awards stage reserved for families to sit during awards.  Groups will be allowed to set up pop ups for the ceremony if there is rain.  If there is heavy rain, IJSBA will find a location to hold a makeshift awards area for top finishers to take pictures in an awards backdrop.
  4. Racing will proceed unless there are thunderstorms or ultra high wind.

We no longer believe this plan will be necessary but just in case, now you know what we will do.
