IJSBA staff is out in Jakarta for the 2018 Asian Games but caught a case of homesickness when we received email that the organizers of the 2018 IJSBA US National Championship were locking and loading for the event this weekend.  The email included the reveal of some very cool trophies that were custom produced for the event.

Eastcoast Watercross is run by Chris Yates and he is really putting a lot into the Nationals.  His team clearly wants this to be a great and enjoyable event and the amount of hard work that has been expended must be recognized and applauded.

The trophies show the personal touch and enthusiasm Yates has for Personal Watercraft Racing.  The trophies are custom metal fabrications with an retro primary color design indicating the red, white, and blue pattern of a USA championship.  All indications point towards a great event.

The IJSBA US National Championships take place, this weekend, August 25-26 in Plattsburgh, New York.  For more information, please visit the following site:  http://eastcoastwatercross.com/plattsburgh-event-info/.  All participants in the US National Championship are eligible to compete at the 2018 Blowsion World Finals, this October 1-7 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Managing directors note: It took quite a bit of pressuring from Chris Yates for me to sign off on a National Championship title for a special Kawasaki SC (AKA Super Chicken Class).  After a lot of assuring that the category is taken seriously and that the competitors seriously contend for the wins, Yates got the green light.  The pictures of the SC class really show people having a good time and enjoying some alternative class racing.  When the picture of the Super Chicken trophy hit the inbox, I was, personally, glad to see it.  Good job, New York, on building something new and fun!
