Skat-Trak World Finals scheduled for October 11-16, 2005 in Lake Havasu, AZ
The International Jet Sports Boating Association (IJSBA) announced today that Skat-Trak has secured title sponsorship of the world’s largest and most prestigious personal watercraft event. This also announces the return of Skat-Trak as the title sponsor. The 2005 Skat-Trak World Finals takes place October 11-16 at the Crazy Horse Campground on the shores of Lake Havasu, Ariz.

The IJSBA is also pleased to announce that it has signed a multi-year agreement with Lake Havasu City-based event production firm, DSM Events, as producer of the 24th annual Skat-Trak World Finals.
“The IJSBA is excited to have partnered with DSM Events, to produce the most important event in our sport,” said Biorn Tangeland, managing director of the IJSBA. “Skat-Trak’s involvement with the World Finals will allow us to build upon the rich tradition that has been established during the 23 years of world class racing at Lake Havasu. This year’s event will expand beyond traditional racing as DSM Events and Skat-Trak will create an all encompassing action sports and lifestyle event.”
The Skat-Trak World Finals will attract more than 800 world-class racers and athletes from across the globe and feature auxiliary events and mini-moto racing in a world-class venue. In addition, the event will have live concerts and an interactive lifestyle festival spread over 12 acres.
The 24th annual IJSBA World Finals – the world’s largest watercraft event will include closed course ski and runabout racing, slalom and the popular freestyle competition. The Skat-Trak World Finals draws the sport’s elite competitors, including superstars Chris MacClugage (Florida), Victor Sheldon (California), Eric Malone (Pennsylvania), Nicolas Rius (France), Dustin Farthing (Florida), Steven Daulich (France), Gimmi Bosio (Italy), Masao Fujisawa (Japan), Dustin Motzouris (South Africa) and Alessander Lenzi (Brazil) competing for more than $100,000 in prize money and awards.
More than 50,000 spectators will also enjoy Performance Alley – a PWC aftermarket and consumer interactive festival featuring large-scale displays from the top manufacturers of watercraft, parts and apparel, and other lifestyle brands, as well as food and beverage concessions including the Budweiser Beach Bar. Other activities include daily athlete autograph signings, DJs, guest emcees and prize giveaways. Live regional and national musical acts will perform on the Skat-Trak World Finals Concert Stage.
