From BRP/Sea-Doo:

Hello, fellow marine industry members—we hope Spring finds you out on the water! It’s that magic time for our friends in the north when boats and watercraft come out of hibernation, shedding their shrink-wrap coats and being splashed for another season. For owners, the excitement of getting back behind the wheel or handlebars after months of anticipation reaches a fever pitch, with marinas and boatyards buzzing with energy only felt this time of year.

Living the Sea-Doo Life is about escaping and making memories on the water, and what better way to do it than wetting a line? So, with fishing season upon us, this month we bring you two fishing-focused news bits, including Emmanuel Williams’ recent wins at the Central Florida Shootout on his FishPro and a recap of the Casting for Kids tournament. Additionally, we have more recognition for the new RXP-X 325 to share—a Boating Industry Top Products award.

Sea-Doo’s Emmanuel Williams takes 2nd and 3rd Place in the Central Florida Shootout PWC Division

As one of the only mainstream fishing tournaments featuring a PWC-specific division, the 13th annual Central Florida Shootout took place this month with great conditions and an exceptional spread of fish landed, both offshore and inshore.

Sea-Doo ambassador Emmanuel Williams joined boats many times his size in the Gulfstream waters off Sebastian Inlet, landing a King Mackerel and Dolphin that earned him second and third place in the offshore PWC division. Beyond the win on the leaderboard, the event helped to further legitimize PWC fishing within the traditional boat-fishing community as a viable, accessible option that allows more people to easily get on the water and catch fish.

The tournament was sponsored in part by BRP Dealer Route 1 Motorsports, who along with Sea-Doo, will be raffling off a Sea-Doo FishPro Trophy watercraft on August 11th at the Sebastian Saltwater Marina. Click here to purchase tickets!

Sea-Doo Supports Casting for Kids Fishing Tournament

With PWC fishing gaining traction in angling communities worldwide, Sea-Doo is diving deeper into the world of fishing and forging partnerships with organizations that work to support fishermen and their communities.

One such event that deserves special recognition is the Casting for Kids tournament, which took place on Saturday, May 18th in Madison, Wisconsin. The event was founded by former NHL player Mark Osiecki in 2018 to help children fighting cancer at the American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison.

Sea-Doo provided a FishPro watercraft and Switch pontoon for participants to get out and fish the tournament. In addition, BRP brand Alumacraft gave away a complete boat/motor package.

With fishing on Lakes Kegonsa, Monona, Mendota, and Waubesa, the target species were Musky, Northern Pike, Walleye, Bass, Crappie, Bluegill, and Perch. Since its creation, the event has raised over $620,000 for the hospital.

2024 RXP-X 325 Named Top Product by Boating Industry Magazine

The world’s most powerful stock personal watercraft continues to make waves, receiving accolades throughout the industry and riding communities. Being named one of Boating Industry Magazine’s Top Products of 2024 is just one more notch in its belt, adding to a growing list of awards bestowed upon this revolutionary race-ready watercraft.

Powered by the completely redesigned 325 Rotax ACE engine, the RXP-X 325 boasts a stunning acceleration of 0-60mph in just 3.4 seconds, with the engine safely revving to a max RPM of 8250. Paired with Sea-Doo’s innovative T3-R hull, riders experience precision handling, inspiring confidence in the most challenging conditions.

All this added power is possible thanks to a completely redesigned air intake system with fewer restrictions in the complete air path and a supercharger capable of spinning at almost 100,000 rpm to supply the engine with the necessary cool air to get the extra output. Smart combinations like the planetary gearbox with a spring-loaded cam clutch drive make the supercharger maintenance-free and durable. Further improvements on the piston package, crankshaft, valve train, and lube oil circuit ensure the engine is fortified and robust to withstand the added power output.

Make Docking a Breeze with Sea-Doo Fenders

This summer, legions of boaters will be hitting the water, and with any boating activity comes launching, loading, docking, and mooring! Whether pulling up to your favorite waterfront eatery for lunch or securing your watercraft for the night, Sea-Doo makes a variety of purpose-built fenders to take the stress out of docking and protect your investment at the same time.

For Sea-Doo Switch owners or other BRP boats with LinQ Lite attachment points, the LinQ Lite Fender Kit features a marine-grade vinyl fender that clips onto the top rail and deploys in seconds when you approach the dock.

With the clip and rope included, the desired height is easily adjustable with a quick shortening or lengthening of the rope. Installation is a breeze, and the best part: no more dragging fenders when underway! There has never been a fender that is easier to use! Click here to learn more.

For personal watercraft owners, Sea-Doo offers Snap-In Fenders that are easy to install and protect PWCs from rough docks and mooring surfaces.
