Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) has reformulated its 2006 Sea-Doo® Bounty watercraft racer contingency program to offer 4X the opportunity for cash rewards. Sea-Doo watercraft mounted racers that finish upon the podium (1st – 3rd) in APBA sanctioned races are rewarded by BRP with cash funds in recognition of their accomplishments. New for 2006 is the 4X Bounty program in which racers competing on a Rotax 4-TEC™ powered Sea‑Doo watercraft quadruple their earned contingencies through the 4X multiplier.
The 2006 Sea-Doo 4X Bounty is the only watercraft racer contingency program in the industry. This program exemplifies BRP’s commitment to its customers that place a premium on performance while striving to be the best. The 4X aspect of the 2006 Bounty program is structured to offer extra incentives and rewards for those who compete on the most current Sea-Doo musclecraft. The supercharged, intercooled 4-TEC powered Sea-Doo RXP™ is fast becoming a prominent fixture on the world’s closed-course racing circuits and the 4X Bounty will offer 4X the reward for those who pilot an RXP to top finishes.
The Sea-Doo 4X Bounty program rewards racers competing in various APBA sanctioned events starting on the weekend of March 4, 2006 and ending at the IJSBA World Finals held in Lake Havasu, AZ in early October. The World Finals is a very special event where special contingency payouts will be made for Sea‑Doo mounted racers who capture a World Championship. The other special program component taking place in Lake Havasu is the awarding of the 2006 Bounty.
The program’s Bounty has become a prestigious and lucrative goal for Sea-Doo watercraft mounted racers as the Sea-Doo Bounty has become the sports biggest prize package. In 2005 the top 8 contingency money winners from the season were invited to compete in the special Bounty competition during World Finals week called the 3D™ Aquamoto Challenge. Sea-Doo racer Justin Hughes of Marlton, NJ claimed the 2005 Bounty; a Sea-Doo race pack that included a Sea-Doo racing pit tent, beach cart, shop stand, Sea-Doo team gear, and a Bombardier ATV Outlander™ 400.
The 2006 Sea-Doo 4X Bounty is accompanied by the Sea-Doo Race Promoter Support Program. Various APBA sanctioned race promoters will receive support from BRP to assist them in producing more events and of higher quality. For more information on watercraft races in your area visit www.apbaracing.com.
2006 will be an exciting year at the track with the Sea-Doo 4X Bounty adding to the excitement as top finishers collect extra funds. In addition to the contingency funds, racers will compete all season to qualify for their chance at winning the 2006 Bounty, to be announced following the regular season.
