The 3rd Round of the Greenhulk.net IJSBA US HydroDrag Nationals, originally to be held in Ft Lauderdale, will now be in Polk City on July 12-13. The 3rd event this season is the RIVA Racing National and will be held in Polk City, Florida, where the HydroDrag World Championships have been held the previous 2 seasons.
This is known as the fastest water in Florida and racers and spectator's have all they need at Lake Grew, located conveniently behind the USA Water Ski Hall of Fame, off exit 44 on I-4.
Maikel Gonzales, from Team CRT will be trying to break the World HydroDrag speed record in the Unlimted Class of 112 mph avaunt Game Over's Rayge Sanchez, who had the record at 106 and change. Also, Tour regulars, Kerry Hibdon, Carito Del Valle, and Stan Hightower, are within points of each other in the HydroDrag Unlimited Class...and they all want the Championship Ring!!! The host hotel is just down I-4, at the Comfort Suites in Lakeland.
Spectators are encouraged to bring their own seating, no coolers, and admission is $10 per day. Children under 10 are free!
Racing begins at noon on Saturday and 10am on Sunday, with Flatwater Freestyle on Saturday!
