Thanks everyone who attended our first event of the 2014 season... you, the "Race Family" is what makes this great!
Thank you to our sponsors Sea-Doo/BRP, Streetmoda.com, Exotic Signs, Fulmer and Shiro Helmets, PWC Muscle, Kaotik Racing and the Hydrocross Tour's official magazine Pro Rider Watercraft Magazine!
We want to give special thanks to our great staff and Pro Rider Watercraft Magazine, PWC Muscle, Dan and Cameron Foard from videophotg.com, Kevin Wassum and Mel Smith for all the media footage they snapped and filmed! We have a ton of pics and even more video footage captured from the event. The video footage, including aerial shots, from Dan and Cameron Foard, and Kevin Wassum will be coming shortly.
What a great weekend we all had in one of the best PWC Racing locations the US has to offer... Tavares! The "Seaplane City" and Lake County, FL. always greets racers with open arms to their city that specializes in events for machines that go 80+ mph on the water! As usual, the Shenanigans on Al's Landing and on the Lakeview Inn's rooftop will be a topic of conversation until the Hydrocross Tour's repeat in September. Stop using the hand towels to check you boat's oil! lol
We want to give our congratulations to Sam Nehme and Richard Taylor in the Sport GP class for their overall wins, Eric Francis and Troy Snyder for their overall wins in the Pro Am Runabout Stock class, Don Anderson for sweeping the Rec Lites (Sea-Doo Spark Class) on Saturday and Sunday, David Cabrera Pro Am Ski Stock, Broc Harris Pro Ski Open and Paul Jordan from Exotic Signs in Pro Am Ski Limited for their Saturday and Sunday 2 day overall wins, and last but not least Ray Quintana for taking the overall on Sunday in the Sport Spec class! For full results, please click here.
This past weekend marked the first time in the US a racer will be collecting the Sea-Doo X Team Bounty money for piloting a Sea-Doo Spark on to the podium in the Rec Lites class, and the first time a Sea-Doo Spark took the overall win in the Junior Rec Lites class piloted by Preston Clark. Along with these firsts, we debuted our real-time, online scoring system. Although there were some bugs, and we have some tweaking to do before our next race in Hudson, FL., results were live throughout both race days with full results and points online and viewable before we were handing out the awards.
Again, we want to thank you, our crew and sponsors that are a part of making Hydrocross PWC Racing happen. See you in Pasco County, Hudson, FL. July 26-27, 2014!
