Well it has been quite a week but a gathering is still happening. Today, December 7, 2025 IJSBA will host the first portion of the first Personal Watercraft Owners Convention. This introductory event was originally planned as a component of the 2024 SBT WGP-1 World Finals in Lake Havasu City but was postponed due to extreme heat. The substitute event will be broken into a couple of gatherings to prepare for a larger event and poker run as part of IJSBA's 2025 World Finals which was recently title sponsored by Short Block Technologies. Today's event is generously being hosted by RideNow Powersports at their grand facility at 2677 E. Willis Road in Chandler, Arizona.
Today's event, will formally begin at 12:00 Noon with an overview presentation about IJSBA and the goals for future owners convention. Participants will be given a souvenir truckers cap and gift bag. After the presentation, participants will be invited to meet and greet before returning to a discussion about the participants requests for amenities, programs, and activities for 2025. Finally, group planning will take place for the poker run in 2025. Hot Products has provided some door prizes and refreshments have been provided by RideNow. Watercraft from Yamaha and Sea-Doo will be on display and participation has been driven by Arizona PWC Enthusiasts. A representative from Save Body Beach is expected to attend. Footnote: There were a lot of cancelations due to flu related illnesses, a tsunami evacuation at IJSBA headquarters, and other complications that nearly postponed this event again. Thanks to the die hard watercraft lovers who decided to start the momentum for this to be a new tradition.
