Powerboat P1 Racing Returns To Kissimmee/St. Cloud on May 21
Powerboat P1 returns to Kissimmee/St. Cloud's East Lake Tohopekaliga on Saturday, May 21, from 10 am - 4 pm featuring the AquaX Amateur Enduro Florida Championship and Superstock boat races.  The event is free to the public serving up a day of fast, furious, and exhilarating action on the water featuring 8 Panther race boats and more than 40 AquaX (personal watercraft) competitors.
"Anyone who believes in the saying that ‘it's not the winning, it's participating that counts,’ would be advised to steer clear of St. Cloud," explains Azam Rangoonwala, Director of Powerboat P1 USA.
“Kissimmee is proud to partner with and welcome back Powerboat P1, as well all the racing professionals competing in this high-profile event,” said John Poole Director of Sports Marketing and Development at the Kissimmee Sports Commission. Kissimmee Sports is a brand extension that falls under Experience Kissimmee, the tourism sales and marketing authority for Osceola County. "The event is projected to generate an estimated $350,000 in direct economic impact to the destination", Poole said.
Deputy Mayor Jeff Rinehart was also thrilled that these races are returning the City of St. Cloud stating, "St Cloud, is proud to have the P1 Powerboat races, we welcome new fans and encourage everyone to come and enjoy the event. We look forward to another great race this year!"
