The Start of the IJSBA/UWP National Tour in Panama City Beach Florida provided a scenic background for OptimaRacing.com to debut our new team transporter and trackside support semi. The truck will visit all stops of the tour, with the exception of the Sparks Nevada round. The rig will serve as the team transporter, with a fully equipped work area for official team riders as well as offering trackside support for all racers competing by stocking spare parts, equipment and gear. This effort is the first of its kind and the first true semi truck to hit the watercraft racing circuit in quite some time. Its presence is testament to the commitment of OptimaRacing.com to the watercraft racing and freeride industry as well as those companies associated with its effort. The only way for the sport to continue to grow is for all of us to work together and to support the companies that support your sport.

As for the racing action, it was wide open as usual with racers feeling out the competition and shaking down new equipment setups. OptimaRacing.com rider Jimmy Wilson wasted no time in displaying his fast, aggressive style with a newfound consistent and calculated approach that will pay huge dividends as the season continues and the hunt for the championship tightens. Jimmy achieved second overall for the weekend with 2-3-3 moto finishes in the crystal clear waters of Panama City Beach FL. The tour moves on to Montgomery Alabama this weekend where team Optima will be on hand to support the riders as they battle it out on the waters of the Montgomery River.
