IJSBA is pleased to share the news about the Junior Stars program happening at the 2022 Jettrim WGP-1 World Finals:
One of the most celebrated Pro Ski riders, Kevin Reiterer has volunteered to join the Junior Stars team for the “Day with the Pros” event at the 41st IJSBA World Finals in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Hailing from Neunkirchen, Austria, Reiterer was given his first ski when he was 7 years old. His career has spanned over two decades with these accomplishments:
- 6 x World Champion
- 6 x European Champion
- 4 IJSBA World titles
- 2 King’s Cup wins
Junior Stars “Day with the Pros” is an annual tradition at World Finals, held on October 2nd, 2022 from 8 AM to 2 PM. When asked if he would volunteer his time and wisdom for the kids, Reiterer responded saying, “I am stoked to be back in the U.S. and hanging out with some passionate Junior Stars! I am looking forward to an amazing day and hopefully give them some useful tips and tricks.”
Kevin and the other pros will be in the stands with the Junior Stars discussing what it takes to be a professional on and off the track. Then Kevin and his peers will join the kids on the water for course familiarization training. Finally, the pros will lead the Start Procedures Clinic, where Junior Star and holder will get multiple practice starts under top-shelf instruction. You can’t buy this instruction…it is a free gift to the kids from the professional racer community, IJSBA, and Junior Stars.
Junior Stars would like to remind participants and family members that access to the Crazy Horse property and the IJSBA World Finals event is closely monitored and strictly enforced. Junior Stars participants may collect their personal and vehicle passes at the Junior Stars tent just outside the Crazy Horse gates beginning at 6:30 am. Access will not be granted without these credentials.
IJSBA encourages all juniors, parents and supporters to follow and share Junior Stars of Florida on Facebook and Instagram. Volunteers and Supporters are encouraged to join the Junior Stars team. Volunteers are needed to help with access control and logistics, and Racers and their Holders are needed to assist with the Start Procedures Clinic.
