Thank you everyone who came out for Rounds 1 & 2 of the Jettribe Best of the West Racing Series in Lake Havasu, Arizona. This race, named in honor of Jettrim's founder the late Gary Hart, was a great success! We want to say thank you to all the riders and fans of PWC racing that came out and participated in this event.

Ross Wallach, RPM Racing President and organizer for the Best of the West series, described what happened: "The action on and off the water was great and the large crowds that attended were treated to two days of closed course racing on a tight race course. 18 plus classes of PWC's were featured over the two day event including the Pro Ski Mod, Pro Runabouts, the ever popular Novice Ski Stock, Veterans, Masters, Vintage 550 & Sport classes. Up and coming stars of the sport were in the Junior classes as well. The ever popular Freestyle competition saw six competitors take to the water of Lake Havasu to demonstrate their ability to defy gravity!"

Although the weather started out fine, Ross describes how it took a different turn on Sunday, "While Saturday's Round 1 event was held under blue skies and moderate winds, Sunday was a completely different story. Round 2 opened up with 15-20 mph winds with 30+ mph wind gusts which turned Lake Havasu into an ocean. Gary Hart must have been looking down and wanted to give the racers a challenge, as challenged they were by the tough conditions. But great racing continued and all racers finished.... albeit exhausted."

We want to wish a special thanks to RPM Racing's staff for putting on such a professional event. Also, we want to share our appreciation to the Lake Havasu EMT's for being stationed on the beach handling the emergencies at hand, as well as the local Sheriff & Police departments for helping with the extra spring break boat traffic outside the course.

We were happy to see such a great turnout, and it was great seeing so many members of our extended race family. We really appreciate the support you give us and the PWC sport as a whole.

We hope to see you again May 6th & 7th for Rounds 3 & 4 at Blue Water Casino in Parker, Arizona
