Like every year, this 2018 season flew by too quickly. This weekend's Jettribe Best of the West Season Finals were held at beautiful Lake Perris, California. This last chance qualifier for the IJSBA Blowsion World Finals brought riders from up and down California, as well as Arizona, Nevada, and as far away as Japan and the UK. All week we worried about smoke effects from the nearby Lake Elsinore "Holy" fire, but luckily we received clear skies and hot, but not too hot temperatures. Our local Lake Elsinore riders were present and thankful to all the firefighters and emergency crew workers for getting their homes out of harm’s way.

Jettribe Red Jersey Rider Casey Leech arrived Monday from the UK to compete at this event. After getting a chance to stop by In-N-Out and say hello to the penguins at Sea World, she only had a few days left to practice before she brought the Jettribe JTR 1100 to the starting line. Even with an unfamiliar ski, she rode hard during both the 5th and 6th rounds. We and our local Team Riders were so excited to share the California race experience with her.

Jettribe Model Haley Capper got a chance to walk the race site and interview our Team Riders about this season. She also got to meet a few newcomers to the sport like River Varner from Riverside. We were interested to hear how new riders learn to navigate PWC racing without experience from friends or family. Haley also spoke with Brian O’Dor, who gave us an interview about learning to transition from Motocross to PWC Racing.

Huge thanks to Ross and the RPM Racing Staff for another great Best of the West Season. Thank you to all the riders who participated to help make this another awesome race season. We look forward to seeing you all at Lake Havasu this October!
