With Covid 19 completely stopping all events for East Coast Watercross in 2020, they are not just excited to be running events again, but to be hosting the 2021 IJSBA National Championship on the beautiful Plattsburgh City Beach this weekend!
America's largest freshwater beach, the Plattsburgh City Beach is the perfect place for this event, as there are miles of pristine beach, crystal clear water and views of the Adirondack Mountains of NY and The Green Mountains of Vermont. This will be Plattsburgh's third time hosting an IJSBA National Championship and the community welcomes athletes with open arms.
Athletes are already posting their pictures, and tagging thier journey to the event from as far West as California and as far South as Florida. With classes for all levels of skill and types of watercraft, the action will be non stop on the notoriously choppy waters of Lake Champlain. In previous years Championships, waves have been reported as high as 5ft and come from all directions! This factor can be a major challenge for the full lines of racers.
