Earlier this month , IJSBA received, and posted, the tragic news that long time race promoter and World Finals race director, Jacque Bryant, had been critically injured in a motorcycle riding accident.  Jacque was riding with friends on a track, on his own property, when he experienced an ejection with the bike landing on his head and neck area.  Fortunately, a proper helmet saved Jacque from certain death.

Jacque Bryant’s injuries are serious and have resulted in some paralysis and loss of mobility.  Doctors are optimistic that he will recover and that there will be no permanent injuries.  The road to recovery will be long, difficult, and expensive for Jacque.

Jacque Bryant is a small business owner which means that his income is cut while he is recovering.  His life as a private entrepreneur is what allowed him to give decades of service to the sport of Personal Watercraft Racing.  It is time for the sport to give back to take care of our own.

Jacque’s friends have set up a GoFundMe account to help the Bryant family navigate through the difficulties of lost wages and increased expenses that have come from Jacque’s accident:  https://www.gofundme.com/thebryants.

The first ten people who donate $150, or more, will receive the following package, from IJSBA, at the 35th Annual quakysense World Finals, held October 1-1, 2016 in Lake Havase City, Arizona:

  1. One pit parking pass
  2. Two pit passes
  3. Two VIP passes for the Pro Weekend hospitality tent
  4. Early sign in privileges for two riders

The pit passes and parking passes, alone, cost $150.  So, this is a very good deal for competitors who have teammates.  The Bryant family, along with the rest of the sport, appreciate the generosity of those willing to help.  IJSBA will confirm donation information from Jacque’s family.
