IJSBA is releasing the long debated requirements and parameters for Ski GP and Ski Modified watercraft that utilize forced induction engines. At the beginning of this year, IJSBA announced the inclusion of forced induction four stroke options, in GP and Modified classes, up to 1100 cc, with the requirement of an approved boost regulator. Below are those requirements.
All forced induction engines, in Ski GP and Ski Modified classes will be required to utilize a Turbosmart brand manual boost control device. The boost control device must be preset, marked and/or sealed by IJSBA technical inspectors prior to competing. The device may be viewed here: http://www.turbosmartdirect.com/Product-Categories/Manual-Boost-Controllers/GBCV-Boost-Tee-Blue.html.
Boost pressures shall be set at 12 PSI for two cylinder engines and 8 PSI for three cylinder engines. IJSBA will ensure availability of boost control devices, at the 2017 Blowsion World Finals, for those persons who have not yet procured one at the time of technical inspection.
