IJSBA is making the formal announcement that all participants in the 2018 United States National Championships, held this weekend, August 25th and 26th, in  Plattsburgh, New York.  The event was originally slated to be held in Watkins Glenn, New York but was forced to be relocated due to a natural disaster which resulted in severe flooding of the venue.

A few competitors have contacted IJSBA stating the hardship of allocating funds and reservations to the new venue when funds and reservations are still tied up to the previous venue pending refunds.  Competitors argue that the previous credit card deposits may not be released in time to attend a second event for World Finals qualification purposes and that having committed to the first venue and having to move to a second venue, five hours away, should count for two events.  IJSBA will agree with this position and will issue a blanket acceptance of World Finals eligibility for all National Championship racers.

We are going to put you on the honor system for this one.  World Finals is a an event intended for serious competitors who regularly are contending for wins at sanctioned Personal Watercraft Races.  Your fellow competitors expect to be racing against prepared and seasoned contenders on the track.  You owe it to yourself and to the sport to take racing seriously and to help foster a competitive environment.  So, please take this to heart and put yourself on the track as often as possible.  The full link to the 2018 National Championships and relocation of venue can be found here:
