The IJSBA is looking to add to the IJSBA Technical Committee. The IJSBA Technical Committee is responsible for deliberating upon and suggesting rules to the IJSBA Board of Directors.
The IJSBA is planning to revamp and restructure the rule book to simplify the rules and the pave the way for responsible Four Stroke class structures. If you are interested in serving on the IJSBA Technical Committee then please email your resume and a short letter describing why you would make a good member of the Technical Committee
Ideally, you should also have the endorsement of your local affiliate or promoter.
Candidates should be:
- Responsible. You will be under deadlines to communicate with your fellow committee members and to review and prepare documents within a specific time frame.
- Articulate. You will need to be able to communicate your ideas especially your positions for and against potential rule provisions.
- Respectful. You will need to work well with a group of people who may have differing opinions than your own. The IJSBA is an organization which seeks to foster compromise that is in the best interest of the sport as a whole. Reaching compromises and forging common ground requires respect for each other in the committee.
- Experienced. Candidates should be experienced and well versed in both technical knowledge and the sport of PWC racing
