IJSBA would like to wish the entire Personal Watercraft Racing Community a very happy Fathers' Day.  Fathers have always played a prominent role in our sport with many of us depending on dad to turn a wrench, hold, pour gas in the ski, fill the cooler full of ice, and most of all provide moral support.  Fathers and dads are often interchangeable terms.  For some people DNA is involved in the whole dad/child relationship while other arrangements involve a relationship that is from someone stepping in and being that support person that we just could not do without.  

2026 is a weird year.  The outlook global economy and sentiment about world conflicts are obviously having emotional impacts that weigh down on people along with the increasing costs of fuel and overall expenses of doing anything.  IJSBA is headquartered in Northern California's Bay Area and there are plenty of waterways to play on.  There are scant amounts boats or watercraft seen on the roads on the weekends which is surely a sign of folks being concerned and conservative.  Today, in a sea of cars, east of Sacramento, this father and his son spotted a lone trailer of watercraft and it was even more delightful to see race numbers on the runabout and the X2 in front near the trailer tongue.  Watercraft Racing will be here forever and where there is watercraft racing, there will be dads and this is just wonderful
