IJSBA is deeply saddened to report that long time competitor and PWC enthusiast, Bill Wilson, has passed away due to the COVID-19 virus.  This horrible pandemic has not only taken one of our own but as deprived our community of one of its finest citizens.  Bill was well known to the IJSBA administration, the Southern California competition circuit, World Finals, and the many online forums where he shared his passion for Personal Watercraft Racing.

Not known to many was his detailed military history including many tours as a fighter jet pilot off of the USS Midway being twice shot down an a surviving prisoner of war.  Deeply private, Bill wanted to be known by the racing family as a proud enthusiast and athlete rather than his military life.  Indeed, Bill Wilson competed well into his 70s and was incredibly fit so that he could fully enjoy racing his Sea-Doo, riding his ATV off road, and regularly hitting the trails on his mountain bike.

IJSBA is making arrangements for a proper tribute to Bill Wilson which we will announce when it can be finalized.  In the meantime, please keep Bill's memory dear and honor it by doing everything you can to take all proper precautions to keep this pandemic away from our community so we can all gather together again, soon, in the fellowship of our love for PWC Racing.
