There wont be any normalizing the surprise of Bill Chapin's unexpected death anytime soon, or probably ever. To say that it was a shock to the watercraft community is a word used for convenience that cannot properly describe the magnitude of the situation. To state what Bill's family must feel is beyond any vocabulary we know. Members of the Personal Watercraft Community who were touched by Bill's life are invited to attend a celebration of life on September 10, 3:00 PM at Shugrue's Banquet Hall in Lake Havasu City. A community reflection will also be planned sometime at World Finals.
