2015 Jettribe Best of the West Norcal vs Socal Shootout

There is only one word to describe this past weekend of racing at the 2015 Jettribe Best of the West Norcal vs Socal Shootout - EPIC! This event took place at Mossdale Lake, Lathrop, Ca. in conjunction with DJSA. This was an awesome location with a great group of people.

The Jettribe crew arrived on Friday for set up and members of the DJSA were there in full force to help us out. Couldn't have asked for better helping hands. Thank you all so so much for the extra help. Could not have done it without you! Ross Wallach's crew set up the course which made it possible to get this race underway. Thank you! And, thank you to all the extra helping hands we had with the bouys.

Your help is always appreciated.

Saturday's race got underway very smoothly. There was an overwhelming number of X2 riders at this race. Largest class on the water all weekend. Very cool to watch all at once on the starting line. The juniors did an awesome job racing as well this weekend. Enjoyed watching some new juniors on the water. You guys rocked!!!!

We even had a special visit by Bob Phares who owns the original Kawasaki 440. One of the reasons this sport has become some huge. Thank you Bob for coming by and sharing your ski and stories with us on live stream.

Now, lets talk about the epic battle that occurred on Saturday night!!!! Wow, what a thrill!! This was the Norcal vs Socal shootout. This has only happened twice in past 6-7 years and this was the first IJSBA night race. And, we have to say that Norcal took home the trophy. It was well deserved and earned. They hold this title for the 3rd straight time. Huge congratulations to Jim Lambert and the Norcal DJSA group. Once again, bragging rights are yours!!! All the riders who participated in the night race did a fantastic job lighting up their skis for this race. I have to say, my favorite was the Deva's Bling ski. I've never seen so much pink on one ski!! Good job Stacy.

On Sunday they held the DJSA race. It got off to a late start due to all the excitement the night before, but ended up being a fun day of racing. For those of you who left early, you missed out!!!! We even raced the course in reverse!! Congratulations to all the winners.

So once more, we bring the 2015 Jettribe Best of the West series to a close. It has been an incredible season of racing and can't wait to see what World Finals has to bring. Jettribe would like to give a huge thank you to Scott Frazier for coming out and being a part of our series final event. It was great to see you there.

See you all at World Finals!
